Played exactly like seven card stud with the exception that the high spade hole card splits the pot. The best five cards are the winner and rankings are according to standard poker hands.

Variations on play include the use of wild cards and five of a kind. The problem with this variation of poker is that you can be holding a great hand and still have to split it with someone with a much lesser hand who is holding a high spade.
