When a novice player attempts to partake in a major competition, he has
next to no chance of winning. Consequently, his chips are considered Dead
money .

To Draw a card is an action that the player uses in an attempt to improve
his or her hand. The player draws his card from the community of cards available
to him.
Occasionally participants draw cards even when this is a futile act, since
their hand will never beat their opponents. This is known as Drawing Dead
. For example, if you have a straight and your opponent already has a flush,
then it is irrelevant what you draw since your opponent holds a superior
hand to you in any case possible.
When your opponent becomes better placed than you after making a draw,
and consequently you lose, this is known as a Drawout .
Drop - (to Fold) to give up your cards and remove yourself from the play of the hand
Also called Deuces, Ducks is the starting hand which included two twos.
