There is even a term for excessively loose players. These kinds of players
are often called maniacs . Maniacs are known to bluff a lot, play a lot of
hands and often raise the pot.

is called a Mechanic .

The area on the table where discarded cards are placed is known as the
Muck . The term muck can be used as both a noun, when referring to the area,
or as a verb. To muck is to place your cards in the muck, once having lost,
but without showing any of the other competitors what they were.
